Day 25 Sat 05.03.2011
Location  Barragem Pego do Alta 3rd day

The weather is not so good today, thunderstorm and raining one minute then sunshine but it’s still not cold.
Paul woke early and had walked around to the opposite shore to take some more photos while I was still asleep.
Everyone is a bit quiet today after the wine consumption yesterday.
The place where we’re parked is not an Aire, it’s a free municipal camping area that’s also used by caravans and tents. The restaurant has free Wi-Fi which we can connect to in the van if we use our Wi-Fi antenna.
If you are planning to stay on this site make sure you stock up with food and fill your water tank. The site is about 10km from the town, there is water here but the tap is in the ladies loo’s so it’s not easy to get access.
We have been told that next week (Wednesday I think) is a public holiday in Portugal so we are wondering if that might cause us problems finding somewhere to park
The parking area here is half the size it used to be, one section has been fenced off, we understand that this is due to a local resident complaining that he was fed up of looking out and seeing nothing but motorhomes.
Paul has just realised that the Dutch couple with the dog that undid his shoe laces have just pulled in.

  1. We shall be accepting no blame whatsoever for the copious amount of wine that you both drank. You are both a very bad influence on us :)
