Day 108 Friday 27.05.2011
Location: Wohnmobol Stellplatz Wintrich, Mosel Valley, Germany
Long / Lat: N 49º53.020’ E 006º56.901’
Sunshine and showers again today, but we did the rest of our washing and managed to get it all dry.
We had fun filling our water tank, we’re too far from the tap to use our hose and we didn’t want to move the van. You put your euro in press the start button and the water flows for 4 minutes, you can’t stop and start it. We put our 1€ in and filled containers and buckets and Paul rushed backwards and forwards pouring them into the tank. I think we entertained some of the Germans sitting in the sun watching us. One man asked if we were filling a swimming pool.
After lunch we walked along to the other stellplatz in Wintrich, it’s called Wiengut Ciemens - co-ordinates N 49º53.391’ E 6º57.264’. It’s much smaller than the one we are parked on and has no view of the river. There’s parking for 10 vans, electricity and it looks like you don’t have to pay for water. Parking costs 5€ for 24 hours and you pay extra if you have electric hook up.
The stellplatz was empty when we visited, we can’t imagine that anyone would park there unless this one’s full.
We walked back through the vines which now have tiny little bunches of grapes on them.
