Today we were planning to stop at a stellplatz in Kandal, co-ordinates N 49º 05.352’    E008º13.320’. We arrived mid morning, parked up and had some breakfast. The parking area was just off the road in front of what look like an abandoned beer garden. The grass was long and the service point looked like it was shut off. The charge for parking there was 10€ a night, we might have stayed if it was free but we decided to find somewhere else to spend the night.

We headed for a stellplatz in Bad Durkheim. There’s a campsite next to the stellplatz which we drove into by mistake, it’s an ACSI site so it will only cost us about 15€ so we decided to stop for a few nights and catch up with our washing.

The stelpllatz is part of the campsite and is just past the main gate into the campsite.

The campsite is next to a lake with grass pitches, there’s a shop and a bar, the showers are good.
