Day 113 Wednesday 01.06.2011
Location:  Piesport Stellplatz, Mosel Valley, Germany
Long / Lat: N 49º52.371’ E 006º55.667’

This morning we drove back up the Mosel to the Piesporter Goldtropchen stellplatz.
On the way here we were stopped by a man standing in the road waving a red flag, we thought maybe there had been an accident until a helicopter appeared in front of us flying about 10 feet above the road, we waited in a short queue of traffic while he sprayed the vines near the road.
The rain has stopped and by mid morning the sun was shining.
This stellplatz has parking for about 30 vans on gravel pitches separated by grass, nice views of the river and the steep vines on the opposite bank. It costs 6.00€ to park and an extra 1.50€ for electricity. Water is 1€ for 80ltrs or 0.10€ for 5ltrs.
We spent a pleasant evening with an English couple Colin and Sandra, they have built their own motorhome, we were very impressed as it looked like it had been factory built.
