Day 119 Tuesday 07.06.2011
Location: Wohnmobilstellplatz Zellerhof Mehring, Mosel Valley, Germany
Long / Lat N 49º47.640’ E 6º49.175’
When we set off this morning we were heading for the stellplatz at Ensch but we weren’t concentrating it was so near to Klusserath we drove straight past it.
Before we found anywhere to turn around we spotted the stellplatz at Mehring so we pulled over to check it out. A German guy who was parked right next to the river told us he was leaving so we decided to pull into his spot.
Once again we have been very lucky and are parked right next to the river.
This stellplatz costs 5€ a night with metered electricity, 0.50€ for 70ltrs of water and if you want to use the shower block an extra 1€ per person per day.
When we arrived we didn’t realize that there are two stellplatze here right next to each other. We have decided to stay here until after the public holiday on Monday and as it’s rained on and off we have put our awning out.
We had a bit of entertainment this afternoon, a young couple had pulled into the other stellplatz in a car and had parked on a motorhome pitch. The lady who owns the stellplatz came out and asked (very politely and in perfect German) that they move their car as the parking is for camping cars only. The couple refused to move and were a bit rude to her. We were all rather shocked when the lady shouted (with an Essex accent in perfect English) get your f***ing car off my stellplatz now. This seemed to have the desired effect, the car was promptly removed.
