Day 117 Sunday 05.06.2011
Location:  Klusserath Stellplatz, Mosel Valle, Germany
Long / Lat: N 49º50.479’   E 6º51.244’
1st stop Trittenheim Stellplatz N 49º49.397’ E 6º54.194’
The Mosel has been much busier with week we set off for the stellplatz at Trittenheim, there is parking for about 40 vans on hardstanding and a about the same again on grass.
When we arrived the stellplatz was almost full, all of the pitches next to the river were occupied so we decided to head for Klusserath.
2nd stop Klusserath Stellplatz
This is a huge stellplatz with parking for 350 vans it was very busy when we arrived but lots of vans were pulling out. We hung around for a bit and nipped into a nice spot next to the river when another van left.
We’re parked on grass, we moved from our first spot because a tree was blocking our satellite. It costs 7€ to park for 24 hours with electricity. The service point is at the entrance to the stellplatz and a quite a hike to it.
There is a small supermarket in the town, you go through the underpass and take the second left.
There are a few British vans here, we went for a beer with some of them at lunchtime and for a meal in the evening with the couple who we are parked next to.
It has been very hot again and for the second day we had thunder and heavy rain in the evening.
