Day 59 Friday 8 April
Location:  Wild Camping Tavernes de la Valldigna
Long / Lat:  N 39º04.921’  W 000º12.882’
We said goodbye to the MHF people at Odessia and set off in convoy with Carol, Charlie and Henry the dog heading for Tavernes about an hour away.
We have a pair of short range radios so we gave one handset to Carol can talk to each other while we’re driving.
As usual for us the journey was uneventful until we had almost reached our destination, we managed to drive up a narrow road into an orange grove and had to turn both vans around when a local told us it was a dead end.
We should have driven into the town until we could see the beach then turned right and followed the road until we spotted the other vans parked up.
There are two parking areas, the one nearest the sea is busier, lots of Dutch and German vans, we are parked in the area a bit further back from the beach next to an orange grove.
There are two Brit vans parked close by, the owners are very friendly and have told us where to get water and empty the loo. Another Brit has given us some wild camping spots further up the coast.
There is an amazing Dutch van parked here, it’s got slides out and up (it has an upstairs) the owner sell and fits solar panels and other electrical things for motorhomes.
