Location: Municipal Campsite Baume Les Dames, Eastern France

We set off for Baume Les Dames. When we arrived the Motorhome campsite was rather busy, we parked up and went for a look around. Co-ordinates N 47º20.425’ E 006º21.414’.

The campsite is next to the canal, the pitches are a good size, enough room to get your table and chairs out. It’s 7.50€ per night with electricity. It was a bit noisy with vans coming and going all the time.

We walked down the road about 300m to check out the municipal campsite and decided we would rather stay there.

The campsite is much more peaceful, it’s nicer than a lot of the privately owned sites we have stayed on in France, we are parked on a large grass pitch with views of the mountains all around us. It’s 9€ a night, 11€ if you want electricity.

We have a lot of washing and were hoping that there would be a laundry here but there isn’t so I have done loads of washing in my little twin tub and dried it outside, we were planning to book into a campsite later this week to catch up with the washing but we have done it all here for free.

We are parked next to an English couple Ian and Isabel, spent a pleasant evening sitting outside with then drinking wine.
