Day 96 Sun 15.05.2011
Location:  Knaus Campingpark Bad Durkiem, Germany
Long / Lat: N 49º 28.436’ E 008º11.549’

The weather hasn’t been so good today, heavy showers then sunshine. We’ve had a look around, it’s a really nice location we would definitely stay here again.
The lake runs the entire length of the site, there are named grape vines growing over the gazebo that covers the road running down the centre of the site.
We got warm bread rolls from the shop next to reception and had bacon rolls for breakfast, the shop’s a bit expensive but very handy, it also sells fresh milk.
It ‘s been very busy here but a lot of people left this morning.
Tomorrow we will be heading for a stellplatz in the Mosel valley.

  1. Hi Lynne and Paul, glad you are enjoying Germany, even if some of the places are Bad. Gail's brother lives over there, in Bad Sassendorf, north-east of Dusseldorf. I've asked him to keep a look-out for you. Neil is back to flying after a 7 month break and Jo and Gregg's wedding plans are developing well now that we are copying details from the royal wedding. We've arranged for a hang glider to do a fly-past over the barn. Keep living the good life. Love Uncle Davey and all at Obelisk Rise - those that know you, that is.

  2. Hi both, Sounds like you are continuing to have a great time. Where after leaving Germany? Back into France and back to the UK or is there loads more to be done before you finally get back?

Make sure you stay in touch and when you are back in the UK let us know and we'll get something arranged.
